Adult Programs at Trout Lodge

February 05, 2017

“You can never grow up if you never grow old.” As children adventure and whimsy are all around us. As we mature the day-to-day stresses start to replace the space in our brains that was once reserved for fun, spontaneity and wonder. While these stresses are unavoidable, there is more to life than that. George Eliot said we could never have loved the earth so well as we do, had we not had a childhood in it. And that’s true; but the adventure, the life, the fun—kids don’t have the monopoly on that. Adventure is still out there and it is evident nowhere more than in the day-to-day fun of our Adult Programs! These fun, recreational, educational and creative programs were designed specifically with the mature adult in mind. Plus these great weekends are all-inclusive programs, with rates that include lodging, meals and all scheduled activities! Here’s what we have coming up: Bridge Break (March 6-8): Designed for players familiar with the game of bridge up to an intermediate level with pre-play instructions and post-play tips. Scrapbooking Weekend (March 17-19): This is your chance to organize those photos into a beautiful scrapbook while spending time with others in a fun, relaxing atmosphere. Looking on the Bright Side (April 2-7 and April 16-21): This Road Scholar program at Trout Lodge is your chance to laugh until your sides hurt while playing games you loved as a kid. This weekend will show you that laughter truly is one of the best medicines. The Palette of the Ozarks: Watercoloring for Beginners (April 24-28): Another Road Scholar program, this weekend is all about creating art and exploring nearby museums and geological sites while surrounded by the pristine beauty of the Ozarks. Springtime in the Ozarks (April 9-14 and April 30-May 5): Beautiful scenery, the relaxing sounds of nature provide a tranquil setting as you watch for wildlife, go on bird quests and simply enjoy the region’s tranquil beauty. As we said, these are just a few of the great programs we’ve got coming up.
