Super Hero Weeks
It’s a bird… it’s a plane… No! It’s a Trout Lodge Family Summer Break! Pack your mask and cape and be prepared for some “Super” sized fun during our Super Hero themed activity weeks. Have you always wanted to be a hero? Here’s your chance! Bring the family down to YMCA Trout Lodge.
Battle to Save Trout Lodge
Join us as a team of Super Friends, try and defeat the powerful and strikingly good looking group of staff villains that are trying to take over Trout Lodge.
Super Hero Coloring Contest
What would your Super Hero costume look like? Coloring sheets will be available beginning Friday at the Front Desk. Most creative coloring sheet will receive a super prize!
Rifle Games
Think your aim is super? Try your skills at the rifle range! Age 10 & Up.
Super Hero Face Painting
Let our Trout Lodge Program Specialists transform you into your favorite super hero!
Defying Gravity
The incredibly talented kids of Circus Harmony will be visiting Trout Lodge. Join us on August 1 for a film about the youth circus troupe from St. Louis who travel to Israel to join a local circus troupe comprised of Jewish and Arabic children. Then for a combined performance of American and Israeli youth performers on August 2.
Campfire
Your visit to Trout Lodge wouldn’t be complete without our traditional family campfire. Special for this weekend we have a Super Hero Song!
Super Dodge Ball
You’ve played dodge ball before but we take it up a notch on our Super Hero themed weekend. Join our program specialists at the Gym to learn to play our super version of this family favorite.
*No rocket packs allowed.
In the Movies
Join us for your favorite super hero movies on the big screen at North Hall at 4 pm. Popcorn will be provided!
Super Hero Cape and Mask
It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s super … YOU! You may not be able to leap tall buildings in a single bound but you can look the part by building your very own super hero cape and mask.
Comic Books
What would a superhero be without their own comic book? Join our staff for a special instructional comic book drawing activity!
Fireworks (Due to dry weather and increased fire hazards, fireworks displays may be canceled.)
What a better way to end a day on Sunnen Lake than with a fabulous fireworks show? Watch from your room or meet us on the back deck of Trout Lodge as you watch in awe. Fireworks Cruises will be available for $1, but space is limited so please sign up at the country store.

Jazz musician, Kevin Mitchell will be performing live.
Time to Fly
Be sure to sign up for our Alpine Swing so you can soar through the air like a true Super Hero!!!
Super Art
Artist, Lucy Duffy, will be drawing super hero caricatures, face painting and teaching guests how to draw super heroes. (Saturday & Sunday)
