David Aulgar

Nickname: Zanzibar
Hometown:Columbia, MO
Age: 21
University: Westminster College
Major: Secondary Social
How long I've been at Lakewood: 3 years
Sports/Hobbies: Music is my life, I love playing and listening to music and it is rare to see me without an instrument in my hand. I also enjoy swimming, snorkeling, Frisbee and reading.
Why I chose to work at Lakewood this summer: After three years of working here, there is no where I'd rather be.
My dream job: To be a troubadour, playing music and traveling around the world would be amazing.
Future career: I'm going to be a high school/middle school social studies teacher
How I chose my nickname: I was given the nickname by a counselor named Pac-Man. He randomly pointed on a map, landed on Zanzibar and I was named.
The best part about camp/kids: That you can go completely crazy, get totally messy, and can be as loud as you want and everyone is ok with it.
One thing I hope to experience this summer is: To go back as far as I can into mud cave.
One thing children will remember most about me: My energy and love for camp
My favorite food, animal, song, book or movie: Movie: The Blues Brothers because it is who inspired me to pick up an instrument. Song: El Nino by Los Caballos because it rocks.
A quote or phrase that best represents me: "Go big or go home."
