YMCA Trout Lodge & Camp Lakewood will put Christian principles into...

Don Hill

Nickname: Beast
Hometown: St.Louis, MO
Retired: Worked at UPS for 36 years
Why I chose to work at Lakewood this summer: Both my children were first campers and then became counselors at the camp. I felt that it was a great opportunity for them and when the opportunity arose, I thought, "what a great opportunity for me," one I just couldn't pass up and after working for a major company for 36 years, I am finally taking some time for myself.
Personal Info: I am 55 years old, have two children, Dave and Laura (you might know Laura as Ranger Camp Counselor "Silver"), and I really enjoy interacting with people and the outdoors.
One thing I hope to experience this summer: As I said, I've always enjoyed the outdoors: camping, hiking and canoeing on float trips. If I'm able to help the kids at Camp Lakewood in some small way with my life experiences and make this the best summer camp for your children, then that would be what I hope for.
The best part about camp/kids: Camp is just an all around great experience. I hope that with the positive experiences they get here at Camp Lakewood and the great friends they will make, it will help them be the best of our country's next generation.
