How long I've been at Lakewood: 6 years as a camper, 4 years as a counselor
Why I chose to work at Lakewood this summer: I went to Camp Lakewood as a child and for the past three years I have been a counselor. I cannot imagine a summer that is not spent at Lakewood.
My dream job: An ice cream taste tester. No, but really I would love to travel for a living-taking pictures and documenting it.
Future career: When I was a CIT, my friends named me Troy because of Helen of Troy, nothing too interesting or funny, but it stuck.
The best part about camp/kids: Getting to just sit down and talk with kids and listen to really anything they want to talk about. Every child has a fascinating story to tell and they never cease to amaze me.
One thing I hope to experience this summer is: I would love to watch the CITs become fantastic counselors and overcome their fears, gain initiative and self-confidence.
One thing children will remember most about me: Well, I wear pigatles quite a lot, but other than that I hope they remember my positive attitude and love for camp.
My favorite food, animal, song, book or movie: I don't really have favorites, however I love documentaries, Thai food and really any sort of live music on a beautiful day.
A quote or phrase that best represents me: "Don't let mistakes be so monumental, don't let your love be so confidential, don't let your mind be so darn judgemental, and please let your heart be more influential."
