Laura White

Nickname: Reeses
Hometown: St. Louis, MO
Age: 20
University: University of Central Missouri
Major: Nursing
How long I've been at Lakewood: 1 year
Sports/Hobbies: Riding my bike, cooking, spending time outdoors, taking care of children, spending time with my friends.
Why I chose to work at Lakewood this summer? I want to influence the next generation and I love working with children.
My dream job: Working with children at a summer camp like Lakewood!
Future career: Pediatric nurse in a hospital and volunteer at camp during the summer.
How I chose my nickname: I got the idea of a candy from another counselor last year and then I decided I would be Reeses because I absolutely love them.
The best part about camp/kids: Being able to escape the real world and be who you are without worrying about being ostracized. I love the creative minds of kids.
One thing I hope to experience this summer is: Children running around enjoying themselves, the many fun activities that camp has to offer, and the great natural world around us.
One thing children will remember most about me: I am a fun person who cares about them and wants them to have fun at camp.
My favorite food, animal, song, book or movie: My favorite food is ice cream.
A quote or phrase that best represents me: Don't worry about what other people say about you, just be who you have been created to be.
Additional comments: My goal for this summer is to make camp a positive and rewarding experience for each and every one of my campers that they will never forget. I am looking forward to spending time with and getting to know your child as we participate in the many fun activities that camp has to offer. I can't wait to meet you and your child! See you at camp!
