Changing Lives
At YMCA Trout Lodge & Camp Lakewood, kids come in all shapes and sizes. Everyone is a Y kid, from the older adults who participate in our Prime Life Programs to the mini-campers at Camp Lakewood. And they all find what they need here — a place to belong, friends who care, the opportunity to learn and grow in a safe environment.
The YMCA mission is at the heart of all of our programs: To put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirits, minds and bodies for all. We can only live up to our mission, and truly serve all who need us, with the help of committed and generous donors like you who give to the YMCA Strong Community Campaign.
Your help ensures that no one, of any age, race, gender or ability, will ever be turned away from a YMCA program because they can't afford it.
Your help ensures that every kid can be a Y kid. Please consider a gift today. Give a Gift Today!

Over 20 Years of Giving and Serving
Since 1984, the YMCA of the Ozarks' Strong Community Campaign has raised over $4 million and provided more than 77,000 scholarships to children, adults and families at Trout Lodge and Camp Lakewood.
Your donation to the YMCA Strong Community Campaign brings hope to kids and families throughout our community and makes a difference in their lives...
When asked to say something about the YMCA, Camp Lakewood, and Trout Lodge, I knew it would be hard to keep the story short.
My son and I first went to Trout Lodge on a single parent's weekend purchased for us by my parents. We had a blast! I got to relax and Jordan couldn't do enough! (fishing especially).
We got to meet so many great people! Jordan was horribly abused by a step-parent at a very young age and just for me to feel comfortable to let him run was a huge thing. We had also recently lost our home and everything we owned in a tragic house fire. So just to get away for awhile was terrific!
That summer Jordan went to Camp Lakewood for the first time on a scholarship. He didn't stop talking about it for WEEKS! He has gone to Camp Lakewood every summer since. Last year he participated in the Leadership Development Program and was highly recommended to come back for the Counselor in Training Program and he can't wait!
I know that it is because of the YMCA, Trout Lodge and Camp Lakewood that I have a well-adjusted, responsible, and caring 16-year-old! Thank you, YMCA and the Strong Community Campaign for the wonderful things you do!
- Amy & Jordan
____________________________________________________ Here's How Your Gift Can Help
$150
Enables two Washington County students to participate in an Outdoor Education experience at Camp Lakewood, applying classroom theory to a hands-on exploration of Mother Nature's wonders, learning about natural history, science and problem-solving through teamwork.
$450
Supports a life-changing week for a child at Camp Lakewood by increasing their self-confidence, building new skills, offering new adventures and bringing together new friends for life.
$1,000
Provides the opportunity for five families to participate in a COPS (Concerns of Police Survivors) retreat or a "We Can" Weekend (adults with cancer). Both camps allow everyone to be a kid again and share their experience, knowing that they will be strengthened after unburdening their fears and uplifted by the camaraderie of supportive friends.
$2,500
Assists ten families with Camp Hope or Camp Sunrise to participate in a retreat to renew their spirits, play games, find mutual support and enjoy a respite from life-threatening illnesses no child should have to face.
