Easy Tips for Keeping Your Cool This Holiday Season

The holidays are hard. So we’ve made this list of ways to keep you de-stressed and in the holiday spirit! Plan This seems obvious, but it still needs to be said. The first step to any successful endeavor is to figure out what needs to be done and when. Sit down and write everything that comes into your head that needs to be done. Don’t worry about anything like timeline or urgency—just make a list. (See step 2.) Organize Everyone has a different way to organize that works for them. Is yours stickers? Check lists? Paper? An app? Whatever it is, organize your list into it and you’ll feel ready to conquer your holiday! Budget The season of giving will surely make you feel even more generous than usual. Don’t be tempted to spend more than you can on gifts, food or decorations. The spirit of Christmas is even more important than the presents. Team Up Ask for help! Make a day of wrapping presents with your friends and you can all help one another. If your kids are old enough, let them bake while you get other things done. Celebrate generosity by accepting it—not just offering it. Roll with It At some point, something will probably veer off of your perfectly planned and organized list. If the cookies fall of the pan or the gifts aren’t wrapped just so—it’s okay! Hydrate Coffee will keep you up and at ’em, but remember to keep drinking water because you’ll be moving around a lot and bundled up. It’s easy to forget to hydrate in the cold months of winter! Fuel Eat healthy, energizing snacks while you work. (But if you want to eat a bunch of cookies, too, we totally understand. Just make sure to eat both!) Breathe Bottom line, don’t let your stress get the best of you. The things that make the holiday great are not perfectly executed plans—they are family, friends, joy and spirit. Enjoy When your holiday finally comes around, don’t miss out! Save the clean-up and the next task for the next day and soak in the family time and memories. Save the Date In February, we’re hosting our annual Women’s Wellness Weekend. After three months of major holidays, you and your friends will need a weekend off. Spend it with us. We’ve got fun activities, live music, buffets and even more.
