Tropical Island Summer Theme

August 2-15, 2010

Wisk your family or friends away to the tropical islands of Trout Lodge! Take a peaceful boat ride around Sunnen Lake’s very own Goose Island, make footprints in the sand, attend a beach luau, play crab soccer or visit the coconut cabana for some cool refreshments while you take part in all of the fun in the sun.

The Trout Lodge Tropical Island Summer Theme will include line dancing on August 3rd and 10th with Darcie Star and Karen Lucy's Reptile Show on August 7th.

Monday - Predator Prey
Learn about animals large and small, and find out who sits highest on the food chain! Play this fun game that will leave one species king of the jungle.

Tuesday - Hula Skirts and Line Dancing
Shake your hips and strut your stuff at this fun evening activity. Make a hula skirt, and then join us in line dancing. You can even learn to hula!

Wednesday - Campfire
Join our energetic staff for silly songs and zany skits during Trout Lodge’s Friday night campfire tradition. Participate in the fun, and receive a tasty s’more at the end!

Thursday - Fireworks and Karaoke
Sing the night away with your friends and family, and cool off with an icy treat while you wait for the big show to begin. We’ll have some great karaoke action and a beautiful fireworks display over the lake. Thursday nights at Trout Lodge shouldn’t be missed!

Friday - Trout Lodge Campfire
Join our energetic staff for silly songs and zany skits during Trout Lodge’s Friday night campfire tradition. Participate in the fun, and receive a tasty s’more at the end!

Saturday - St Louis Herpetological Society
Snakes, lizards and more! Join us as special guest, Karen Lucy, from the St Louis Herpetological Society, shares her crazy critter with us. Learn what habits these reptiles have, see them up close and get a chance to even touch a few!

Sunday - Nature Center
What kinds of animals live in the woods around us? Find out what creatures live near us and find out about animals world wide too! Enjoy a puppet show that will leave you in stitches!
