Friday Activities
Stepping Stones
6:00 p.m.– 8:00 p.m.
Step on down to Arts& Crafts to make a stepping stone for the garden.
Cost is $10.00
Campfire
7:30 p.m.
Join our staff at the Coker Fire Ring for some fun songs and skits performed by your favorite Trout Lodge staff. You may even get a tasty treat at the end.
Saturday Activities
Ceramics
During Arts & Crafts Hours
Head down to Arts & Crafts to paint a variety of plates, mugs, tiles, boxes or figurines which you can give as a gift or keep for your own use. This requires overnight firing. Cost varies and is payable in Arts & Crafts.
Painting
During Arts & Crafts Hours
Visit the Arts & Crafts shop to paint a variety of plaster figurines, wood projects or make your own picture on a piece of construction paper. Cost varies and is payable in Arts & Crafts.
Jewelry
During Arts & Crafts Hours
Make your own accessories down in Arts & Crafts! We have a wide bead selection plus a variety of pendants and cording. Cost varies.
Floral Wreaths
9:00 a.m. — 11:00 a.m.
Join the staff in Arts & Crafts to make your own home décor. You will make a wreath to take home made of silk flowers, foliage , and Styrofoam. Cost varies.
Mosaics
9:00 a.m. — 11:00 a.m.
Visit the Arts & Crafts shop to learn how to make mosaics while you create your own home décor. Make a trivet for the kitchen while learning a new craft. Cost varies and is payable in Arts & Crafts.
Origami
10:00 a.m. — 10:45 a.m.
Join our staff in meeting room 5 to learn this special technique of folding paper. You will have the option of making an animal, flower or 3 dimensional shape.
Saturday Activities Continued
Coloring Contest
1:00 p.m. — 5:00 p.m.
Stop by the 3rd floor lobby and create your own masterpiece! Paper, crayons and markers will be provided. Please be sure to turn your picture into the front desk when you are finished for a chance to win a fun art basket. The winning picture will be posted by Sunday at Breakfast so be sure to take a look at the information sign to see if you are the lucky winner.
Leather Working
1:00 p.m. — 2:00 p.m.
Learn how to stamp on leather in Arts & Crafts! Make your own leather kit to take home with you. Prices vary depending on the project.
Friendship Bracelets
1:00 p.m. — 1:45 p.m.
Join our staff in arts & crafts to make a friendship bracelet full of pizzazz. You will have the chance to create one for yourself and then take one home for a friend. This is a free activity.
TL Teddy
1:00 p.m. - 1:45 p.m.
Come to meeting room 5 and build your own Trout Lodge friend ! Build your bear and design its own shirt! He’ll be a great companion for the trip home. Sign up at the country store. Cost is $17.
Rock Polishing
3:00 p.m. — 3:45 p.m.
Join our staff in the Teepee to polish any rock that you find interesting. Watch it change from one phase to another. You will be able to use different polishing sheets to change the form as well as pull all the colors to the top and make it shine. You will be amazed at how pretty rocks can be when the dirt has been scrubbed away. (Space is limited so please sign up at the Country Store.)
Lotions & Potions
3:00 p.m. — 5:00 p.m.
Abra Cadbra! Make your own lotion, body spray, bath salt, body spray, and shower gel in Arts & Crafts. Make the set for $12.00 or prices vary for individual projects.
Face Painting
4:00 p.m. — 4:45 p.m.
Join our staff on the fifth floor lobby to get a picture painted on your face. Choose from a variety of pictures such as balloons, butterflies, a Spiderman mask and more.
Copper Enameling
6:00 p.m. — 7:00 p.m.
Visit the Arts & Crafts shop to learn how to make copper jewelry. Cost varies and is payable in Arts & Crafts.
Saturday Evening Program
Wax and Watercolors
7:30pm
Have you ever wondered how to make your special watercolor painting stand out or have a little texture? Join special guest Julie Gant in Arts and Crafts to learn how using wax can give your watercolor painting a little more pizzazz.
Sunday Activities
Tie Dye
9:00 a.m. — 12:00 p.m.
Personalize a t-shirt with the art of tie dye in Arts & Crafts. Choose from a variety of designs such as spirals, targets, vertical lines and diagonals then choose what colors you would like to use. Cost is $10 for a child and $11 for an adult payable in Arts & Crafts.
