POSITION: TEAM Works Adventure Specialist
STATUS: Seasonal
REPORTS TO: TEAM Works Program Director
SALARY: $45/Day + Meals & Housing
Purpose of Position:
Under the guidance and supervision of the TEAM Works Program Director, the TEAM Works Adventure Specialist will be responsible for the delivery of TEAM Works programs to guests of the YMCA of the Ozarks Trout Lodge while exemplifying the Y values of Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1) Facilitates high ropes and teambuilding programs at Trout Lodge and Camp Lakewood.
2) Assist in having available staff and equipment ready for scheduled recreation climbs.
3) Assists with theme weekends and Trout Lodge programming when necessary.
4) Delivers occasional evening programs at Trout Lodge.
5) Develops lesson plans for Trout Lodge and TEAM Works programs.
6) Follow staff policy and procedure in all phases of leadership operations. Enhances overall service given to all Trout Lodge guests.
7) Maintain a positive working relationship with all staff at the YMCA of the Ozarks and Camp Lakewood.
8) Provides the maintenance department with timely information pertaining to the upkeep, maintenance and operation of assigned program areas and related equipment.
9) Assist in maintenance of equipment and climbing elements.
10) Responsible for van maintenance and upkeep of all YMCA vehicles when in use.
11) Participates in the implementation of YMCA management systems as they apply to World Service Drives, United Way Drives, Capital and Partner Campaigns.
12) The Adventure Specialist will also be responsible for programming in all areas pertaining to facilitation of climbs or teambuilding, and any other responsibilities deemed necessary in assuring that the guests are provided with a quality experience.
Essential Functions of the Job:

2. Ensure guests are receiving high quality customer service.
3. Perform occasional work on a computer.
4. Positive, can-do attitude with ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
5. Strong human relation skills.
6. Problem solve effectively.
7. Handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Skills and Requirements
Qualification Requirements:
Education: This position requires previous experience in a resort or camp setting or a bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Experience: TEAM Works Adventure Specialists must bring to this position an appropriate background of education and experience, which enables him/her to carry out the job segments listed for the position.
Special skills, Licenses, Certifications or Equipment:
The ability to plan, execute, follow-up, and evaluate programs and lessons.
