General Function
Under the guidance and supervision of the Trout Lodge Lead Program Director, the Trout Lodge Program Director will be responsible for the planning, implementation, provision and evaluation of guest programs for the YMCA of the Ozarks while exemplifying the Y values of Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1.Plan, schedule and coordinate programs and activities for Trout Lodge guests.
2.Maintain adequate inventory of boathouse and program supplies and order supplies as necessary to ensure high quality programs.
3. Assist with lesson plans for all Trout Lodge programs.
4. Assist with the recruitment, training, evaluation and coordination of staff recognition programs of Trout Lodge season program staff.
5, Assist in the enhancement of the overall service and expertise levels among program staff through consistent leadership, positive example-setting, special-event planning and counseling.
6. Maintain positive working relationships with support services departments including group sales, Triangle Y Ranch, maintenance, food service, and housekeeping to provide for the comfort and safety of Trout Lodge guests.
7. Provide maintenance department with timely information pertaining to the upkeep, maintenance and operation of assigned program areas and equipment.
8. Participate in the implementation of YMCA management systems as they apply to assisting with United Way drives, Capital and Partner Campaigns and staff training.
9. Support marketing efforts in cooperation with the Director of Marketing to promote program participants and the use of YMCA of the Ozarks by new conference, day and specialty groups.
10. Attend and contribute to weekly program staffing, service schedule, director and program meetings.

Skills and Requirements
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in outdoor education, environmental education, hospitality and tourism, sports management, recreation or a related field.
Experience:
Previous experience in camp, resort or outdoor skills programming. Strong working knowledge of computers and budget management. Human relation, organizational, creativity, programming and problem-solving skills.
Salary:
$23,660 + Meals & Housing
