Triangle Y Ranch

Mosey on down to our ever popular Triangle Y Ranch and join us for some equestrian adventures. No matter your age, there is always something for everyone here at the ranch. From 6 months old on a wagon ride with the family, up to 90 years old (or more!!) on a trail ride, everyone can kick up their heels! At Triangle Y Ranch, we actually encourage “horsing around”.

Barn Dance: Grab your best western wear and come on down to the trail barn for a lesson in line dancing with our Triangle Y staff. There is a 12 person minimum

Bluff Trail Ride: This 3-hour ride will meander along trails and logging roads that lead to the bluffs and the gorgeous scenery that will unfold before you. Ages 10+, at least 54” tall and weight limit of 250 lbs. No double riders. Children 17 and under must be accompanied on this ride by an adult.

Carriage Ride: Enjoy a relaxing 20-minute ride in an old-style carriage pulled by one of our Belgian horses. All ages are welcome. Carriage typically holds 4 adults, depending on the size of each rider. Children 11 and under must be accompanied on this ride by an adult. ON REQUEST ONLY

Cupcake Cart Ride: For children who are too small or just not quite ready to ride on the trail ride, they can have their own special ride – a cart ride with Cupcake, our very own miniature horse. Kids must ride with a ranch staff member, cannot weigh more than 100 lbs., and must wear a helmet.  For kids 12 years old and younger.

Extended Trail Ride: This ride is perfect for our guests who have been riding with us in the past and who are looking for new trails to “conquer”.  Ages 10+ and at least 54” tall. Children ages 17 & under must be accompanied on the ride by an adult. Weight limit of 250 lbs., no double riders.

Grooming & Saddling Lessons: Learn the basics of how to groom and saddle a horse western-style, then practice on your “own” horse. In conjunction with either the Valley or Mountain Trail Rides. (Same requirements as the Valley and Mountain Trail Rides.)

Horse Overnights: Enjoy an amazing overnight experience of horseback riding, staying overnight in rustic conditions, with dinner and breakfast cooked over an open fire.

Mountain Trail Ride: This two mile scenic and mountain ride will take you up the Grainger diggings and down past the Hawkins’ Mines area. Ages 10+ and at least 54” tall. Children ages 17 and under must be accompanied on the ride by an adult. Weight limit of 250 lbs., no double riders, and maximum of seven riders per ride.

Muzzles, Manes & More: Lessons in the Art of Horsemanship:  This isn’t just an overnight adventure, this is for people who also want to learn the basics of proper horsemanship – grooming and saddling lessons, arena lesson and general horse care. You’ll also enjoy trail rides, overnight stay in a cabin, dutch oven dinner and breakfast and barn dance. Kick up your heels at the Triangle Y Ranch.

Pony Ride: A great introduction to horseback riding for children who have never ridden or who are not old enough to ride on the trail rides. Ages 9 and younger, and weight limit of 150 lbs. No double riders

Valley Trail Ride: A one-mile ride that takes you through the beautiful hardwood forest and across the Fourche Renault creek. Ages 7+ and at least 44” tall. Children 7-9 must be accompanied on the ride by an adult. Weight limit of 250 lbs., no double riders, and maximum of 12 riders per ride.

Wagon Ride: This is a fun 30-minute wagon ride down our country roads flanked by the Fourche Renault Creek. All ages are welcome. Children 11 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Limit of 25 people per wagon. Lap riders OK.
