Main Camp: Dormitory-style lodging is perfect for chaperoning campers at appropriate ratios by the camp counselors. All cabins have modern bathroom facilities and are temperature controlled. Many have comfortable lounges, porches and fireplaces to encourage the kind of socializing that fosters solid friendships. All beds are bunk beds. Cabin assignments and availability will vary depending on the total number of campers.
East Camp: East Camp is an exclusive area for the teen campers. This area across the lake includes a basketball court, tether ball poles, a pavilion, kitchen area, bathhouse, and a sand volleyball court. Dormitory-style non-temperature controlled cabins are rustic yet comfortable, and provide opportunities for campers to create amazing bonding experiences and friendships – some for the rest of their lives. When our Alumni look back at their time as campers (and counselors) at Camp Lakewood, invariably they talk about the special feel and time spent at East Camp.
The meals we serve offer simple but nutritious choices, and can make accommodations for certain dietary restrictions. We use the meal-time experience to teach campers the importance of manners and food conservation.
Ask the campers and they will tell you that their favorite meal is the “No-hands spaghetti dinner” on the evening of their arrival. It’s the one meal that they can play with their food. Along with the crazy campfire, it’s a fun and zany start to each session.
If your child has special dietary restrictions, you can always contact our Food Service Department to discuss your child’s needs.
