To Our Families and Guests,
We want to inform you of some changes here at YMCA Trout Lodge. There is no higher priority than the safety of our guests and these changes reflect that priority.
We have been closely monitoring and following recommendations from medical professionals, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO), government agencies, and internal teams to ensure that our cleaning and safety procedures not only meet expectations, but far exceed them.
Some of these changes, all of which are effective immediately, you will notice as a guest and some changes have been made behind the scenes; you may not notice them, but we feel it is important that you are aware of them nonetheless.
Important, if you answer YES to any of the following questions you should not come to or enter our facility. You will be asked these questions upon arrival.
Have you or anyone in your household traveled out of the country or to a domestic hot spot in the last 14 days?
Have you or anyone in your household had a fever or taken fever-reducing medicine in the last 72 hours?
Have you experienced any cold or flu-like symptoms within the last 72 hours (to include loss of taste/smell, cough, sore throat, respiratory illness, difficulty breathing)?
Have you or anyone in your household had close contact* with or cared for anyone confirmed COVID-19 in the last 14 days?
Have you or anyone in your household had close contact* or live with anyone who has been told to self-quarantine in the last 14 days?
*Close contact includes:
• You spent a PROLONGED period of time in the same room without medical grade PPE.
Someone who was within 6 feet of an infected person for at least 15 minutes starting from 2 days before illness onset (or, for asymptomatic patients, 2 days prior to specimen collection)
• You had DIRECT PHYSICAL CONTACT with the person (e.g., kissing, hugging).
• You SHARED eating or drinking utensils with them.
• You came into contact with their RESPIRATORY SECRETIONS (e.g., they coughed on you).
Medical professionals treating COVID-19 patients should shower and change clothes prior to coming into our facilities.
Regions of ongoing community transmission of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) are regularly changing. The CDC is currently recommending only essential travel outside of your local area only to provide medical/home care or essential service. https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/travelers/travel-in-the-us.html
Anyone returning from any travel in the last 14 days to regions with sustained community transmission of COVID-19 will not be allowed to enter, work, or participate in our facilities.
To help catch illness before it enters Trout Lodge, we will be doing temperature checks of ALL guests during check-in and staff before each shift. Any person with a fever of 100 degrees or higher will be asked to return home and is welcome back after they’ve been fever free for at least 72 hours.
We ask that families and group leaders take an active role in screening their members/participants before arriving. Should someone arrive ill or become ill during their stay, it will be the responsibility of the group leader to immediately remove that person from our facility.
- Social distancing guidelines must be followed at all times.
- Maintain at least six feet between you and others.
- We are asking guests and staff to wash their hands or use hand sanitizer frequently.
- All guests and staff must wash their hands/use hand sanitizer before entering the dining area.
- We have increased hand sanitizer stations throughout the facility.
- Program equipment will be sanitized regularly.
- Your room(s) and cabin(s) will be sanitized before you check in.
- All high-touch areas will be sanitized on a frequent basis.
- Common area seating at Trout Lodge will be cleaned every two hours.
- Staff will serve guests at the buffet line and serve drinks and desserts.
- All tables in the dining room will be 6 feet apart.
- Not more than 10 people can sit at a table.
- All guests are encouraged to wear face masks when possible.
- Guests should bring their own face masks.
- All staff will be required to wear face masks while interacting with guests.
- While we have our own, we encourage guests to bring their own Coast Guard-approved personal flotation devices (PFDs).

The waterfront and boathouse will be open 10 am – 6 pm.

CENTRALLY LOCATED, 90 MINUTES FROM ST. LOUIS
We are centrally located from anywhere in the U.S., and our amazing amenities and staff make YMCA Trout Lodge the perfect location for family vacations, reunions, adult enrichment programs, corporate meetings, groups of all types and much more.
YMCA Trout Lodge is a year-round not-for-profit resort and conference center. We are situated among 5,200 beautifully wooded acres that include one and two-mile hiking trails, a 360-acre lake with a swimming area, boating and fishing, located just outside of Potosi, MO. Our rates always include lodging, three buffet-style meals a day and many activities. Kids ages 0-4 always stay for free.
NATURAL AND RECREATIONAL AMENITIES
Trout Lodge has everything in one convenient location with much to offer guests of all ages and abilities. Guaranteed check in is 3:30 pm and check out is 11:30 am. You can come early before check in or stay after check out time to enjoy the facility as long as you are checked out of your room.
The lodge features 60 guest rooms and 19 loft rooms, all with gorgeous lake views. Inside the lodge is a reading lounge, television in the lounge area and board games. The large outside deck has seating and tables and ping pong tables. We provide soap, towels, bedding and housekeeping services. Pack ‘N Plays, hairdryers, irons/boards and mini-refrigerators are available upon request at the Front Desk. Some rooms are handicapped accessible.
For a more private experience, we have ten lakeview and ten forestview cabins that feature accommodations for up to ten people, each with a fireplace, couch, table and chairs, screened-in porch, crib, microwave and mini-refrigerator. Lakeview cabins can adjoin; forestview cabins are on upper and lower levels and do not adjoin. We provide soap, towels, and bedding.
There are no televisions in our rooms or cabins. This is intentional. We want none of the distractions that could take away from all of our families and groups enjoying quality time spent together creating new and lasting memories. There is a television on the third floor of the lodge for all guests to use.
There is a large dining hall with a stunning view of the lake that serves buffet-style meals in the lodge, with hot options, salad bar/cold bar, drinks and desserts. Staff serve guests at the buffet line and serve drinks and desserts. We provide certain dietary options (vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free) as well.
Our Waterwheel Country Store sells clothing, toys, snacks, toiletries, ice cream, sodas, candy, jewelry and more.
For groups, we offer meeting rooms, AV equipment, private catering and team building activities.
Swimming area features a sand beach, lounge chairs, water slide, lake swing, and lifeguards from Memorial Day to Labor Day weekends. There are swimming tests conducted to be able to do deep-water swimming, and to use the slide, and swing. There is a shallow area for everyone to utilize.
Waterfront boating area includes canoes, kayaks, funyaks, sailboats, jon boats, and paddleboards (Available from Spring to Fall depending upon weather conditions).
Lake bank or boat fishing (Missouri state fishing regulations apply) from Spring to Fall, depending upon weather conditions. There is a fee for fishing if you are only coming out for the day to fish.
Across from our waterfront is Hawkins Recreation area which features a mini-golf course, bicycles (helmets provided or bring your own), super-large chess board, shuffleboard, bocce, frisbee, washers, tetherballs, sand volleyball court, disc golf, horseshoes and archery.
Next to our waterfront area we have three tennis courts, large playground and campfire area.
Close to our ranch we have spring-fed trout ponds for catch-and-release fishing.
In our Recreational building, we have a fitness room with treadmills, ellipticals and free weights. There is also a gymnasium for basketball, volleyball, as well as for themed activities such as Medic Ball and Gold Rush (versions of dodgeball).
Our Nature Center features animals including various reptiles, rabbits, turtles, ferret, sugar gliders and more.*
Boating: Pontoon tour and fishing trip. (lifejackets provided but we encourage you to bring your own if you have them)*
Triangle Y Ranch has 40+ horses, with pony rides, and horseback riding/trail ride options (helmets provided, long pants and closed-toe/closed-heel shoes recommended).*
High Adventure areas feature a variety of zip lines (equipment and helmets provided, and closed-toe/closed-heel shoes recommended).*
Paintball and paintball practice course (equipment provided).*
Shooting sports: Riflery, shotgun basics, trap and skeet, archery, archery balloon pop, archery tag, dart art, rifle safari, air riflery and rocketry.*
Arts & Crafts Center features ceramics, tie-dye, jewelry, candle-making, glass etching, fabric crafts, mosaics, wood crafts and stepping stones.*
Additional Activities: Bingo, drum circles, nature hikes, geocaching orientation, kite making, nature hike, and tomahawk throwing.*
